Here’s How Game Of Thrones Would Look With An All-American Cast

Euron Greyjoy -- Joshua Jackson

The well-groomed pirate from the Iron Islands likely won't get any invitations to the family reunion, but Euron Greyjoy proved his competence in battle and strategy during the latter half of Thrones. Joshua Jackson may be best known for his role as Charlie Conway in the Mighty Ducks series, but the 40-year-old actor has picked up steam in recent years due to his roles in When They See Us and The Affair. The resemblance between the two actors is uncanny.

Grey Worm -- Michael B. Jordan

Known for his deft fighting skills and intense love for Missandei, Grey Worm can only be recast as one man -- Michael B. Jordan. The Hollywood star has shown he is more than capable of holding his own in hand-to-hand combat through his performances in Black Panther and Creed. Not to mention, Jordan's chemistry with our new Missandei is almost too much to handle.

Melisandre -- Bryce Dallas Howard

The Red Witch was a cunning character who pulled the strings of various powerful men throughout Game of Thrones. Bryce Dallas Howard has consistently proven she can play strong roles thorough her work in The Help, Jurassic World, and Rocketman. Additionally, Howard already having auburn-colored hair helps ease the work of the makeup crew.

Joffrey Baratheon -- Dane DeHaan

It's been a while since Joffrey Baratheon graced our television screens, but the petulant King will forever be ingrained into our minds. Despite being a few years older than Jack Gleeson -- Joffrey in Thrones -- Dane DeHaan is an obvious choice to play the part. Not only has DeHaan demonstrated an ability to play the villain, but the 33-year-old displays a familiar devilish-stare that Joffrey often utilized.

Samwell Tarly -- Jorge Garcia

Like Samwell Tarly, Jorge Garcia knows what it's like to be the butt of everybody's joke. Garcia rose to fame through his work as Hugo "Hurley" Reyes in the television series Lost. Garcia has experience playing the 'nice guy' and would have no trouble mastering the role of Sam.

Ramsay Bolton -- Rami Malek

Is there any doubt Rami Malek could perfectly emulate Ramsay Bolton's creepy nature? Malek is on fire right now after starring as Freddy Mercury in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. He's also played a cyber hacker with multiple personality disorder in Mr. Robot and lent his voice and likeness to play a serial killer in the videogame Until Dawn. Malek would be excellent for a villain role on Game of Thrones, and Ramsay's dark and cruel personality fits in well with the actor's previous endeavors.

Tormund Giantsbane -- Alan Tudyk

While the group of scavengers beyond the Wall named the Wildlings played a key part in the show, nobody could have expected a character like Tormund Giantsbane to make his way into the main cast. Tormund's carefree attitude and penchant for humor endeared him to fans -- much like Alan Tudyk's work as Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball. Redheads stick together, and Tudyk's lack of body size would be hidden by the heavy coats Tormund regularly wears.

Bronn -- Bradley Cooper

Bronn is one of the coolest customers in all of Game of Thrones. He rarely loses his temper, always has a quick retort, and possesses an overwhelmingly calm aura. It only makes sense for one of the coolest cats in Hollywood to take this role. Bradley Cooper thrives in the relaxed, confident role that he's played in movies like The Hangover, War Dogs, and A Star Is Born.

Lord Varys -- Zach Galifianakis

This one could have gone a lot of ways. Ultimately, the role of Varys came down to two men -- Zach Galifianakis and Jonah Hill. While Hill would no doubt crush the role, there is something about Galifianakis that makes us think he is the man for the job. Wouldn't it be nice to see him portray an overly intense character?

Bran Stark -- Jaeden Martell

The King of the Six Kingdoms, Bran the Broken! Yeah, we aren't used to that either. Landing the role of Bran is none other than Jaeden Martell. Known for his work in St. Vincent and It, Martell is a rising star in Hollywood. Though he is too old to play a young Bran, the actor is a perfect fit for the older version of Bran. Let's just hope that Martell is a little bit more interested in revealing Bran's immense powers.

Theon Greyjoy -- Cameron Monaghan

At this point, it is safe to say that Cameron Monaghan will be a Hollywood fixture for many years to come. After making a name for himself through Shameless and Gotham, Monaghan is primed to make another leap with his acting. Monaghan has shown a knack for playing both a lighthearted and serious role, and would have no problem capturing the essence of Theon Greyjoy. The California native is a very likable actor, which would make his despicable actions as Theon all the more powerful.

Brienne of Tarth -- Charlotte Flair

Brienne of Tarth, to be frank, is a force of nature. Gwendoline Christie, the lovely woman who played Brienne, stands at 6-foot-3. So, it is only right that we cast another imposing figure in order to properly protect the Stark girls. That woman is Charlotte Flair. For those unfamiliar with Flair, she is an eight-time WWE Women's Champion and the daughter of Ric Flair. Charlotte's combination of brawn and beauty make her an ideal candidate to play Brienne of Tarth.

Khal Drogo -- Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Khal Drogo is a mighty warrior with an impeccable physique and strong presence. Who better to play one of Westeros' finest gladiators than a former professional wrestler and current action-movie star? The Rock fits the bill in terms of the looks department, and Drogo's attire bares an eerie resemblance to the Scorpion King.

Gendry -- Dylan O'Brien

Gendry Baratheon is a blacksmith who happens to be the bastard child of King Robert Baratheon. Unfortunately, it takes a bit of time for Gendry to find out his true lineage, and he's spent most of his life working for people who he should be ruling. Pulling from the MTV pool of young actors, Teen Wolf star Dylan O'Brien is a near spitting image of a young Gendry. He'd serve quite well as an expert hammer-wielder and love interest of Arya Stark.

Daenerys Targaryen -- Elizabeth Olsen

The thought of anyone but Emilia Clarke playing Daenerys Targaryen doesn't sit well, but the show couldn't go on without the Mother of Dragons. Elizabeth Olsen may have botched her original audition for the role of Dany, but there is no doubt she is the right woman for the role this time around. Not only does she have the look, but Olsen has proven time and time again that she is a very good actor. Surely, the doe-eyed actor would slay as the Queen of Ashes.

Jorah Mormont -- Joaquin Phoenix

A loyal and wise warrior, Jorah Mormant proved his mettle as Dany's right-hand man for a majority of the series. His grizzled look and calm demeanor are reminiscent of the type of character Academy Award nominee Joaquin Phoenix has portrayed over the years. Phoenix has shown he can be both sympathetic character (Signs, Her) and an intimidating force (Gladiator, We Own the Night, Joker).

The Hound -- Michael Shannon

The Hound was a surly, rigid and miserable person for the majority of his time on Game of Thrones. If anyone is familiar with Michael Shannon's work -- especially his time on Boardwalk Empire -- you will likely agree that he is more than capable of playing a surly, miserable person. At 6-foot-3, Shannon can easily come off as intimidating. While his fighting skills may be up for debate, his persona and brash ways make him the perfect fit to play The Hound.

Littlefinger -- Edward Norton

This one is as good as it gets. Littlefinger is as conniving as they come. Between his web of lies, numerous betrayals and general creepiness, Littlefinger made sure he left an impression on everyone that he interacted with. Picturing Ed Norton as Littlefinger is almost too perfect. He already has the proper haircut, he has excelled playing the role of a dishonest individual multiple times, and he is a tremendous actor. Norton would take Littlefinger to the next level.

Arya Stark -- Sarah Hyland

Man, this one is tough. There is a lot of pressure recasting the role of the Night Kingslayer. Between Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) it was hard to come to a final decision. Ultimately, Hyland's uncanny resemblance was too much for Shipka to overcome. It is kind of frightening how much Hyland and Maisie Williams can look alike at times. Though it may be easier to envision Shipka playing a ruthless assassin, Hyland checks more boxes overall.

Missandei -- Tessa Thompson

It only makes sense to have Michael B. Jordan's love interest be Tessa Thompson after the two played lovebirds in the Creed series. Thompson has been picking up steam over the past few years, starring in various Marvel films, Annihilation and the upcoming Men in Black reboot. She has a unique presence and even has a knack for comedic timing.

Davos Seaworth -- Nick Offerman

Davos Seaworth has one of the best glow-ups of any character on the show. From defamed smuggler to sitting on the small council, Seaworth embarked on a wonderful journey as Thrones fans cheered him on every step of the way. He is extremely likable, relatable, and even has the ability for comedic timing. Nick Offerman has plenty of experience in the comedic realm, but also has the ability to gain sympathy and endear himself to the audience. Plus, Offerman would totally rock a beard like the one Davos has.

The Mountain -- Glenn Jacobs

Ser Gregor Clegane (also known as "The Mountain") is undoubtedly the most intimidating person in Game of Thrones. The hulking behemoth combines enormous size with a nasty attitude. He burned his brother's face when they were children, and it created a rivalry that lasted throughout each sibling's lifetime.

Although Jacobs' character in the WWE was the one that is supposed to be burnt, the man who formerly performed as WWE superstar Kane would be a perfect fit for this role. He's adept at working with a mask on and is able to convey emotions, thoughts and feelings without ever speaking a word.

Margaery Tyrell -- Blake Lively

In Game of Thrones, the stunning Natalie Dormer does an excellent job as Margaery Tyrell -- the young, powerful Queen that ultimately becomes one of Cersei's main adversaries. With Angelina Jolie already set to star as Cersei, who better than Blake Lively to portray her main rival? Like Dormer, Lively has a natural grace about her. She is very intelligent and determined -- not to mention she won't stand to take Cersei's heavy-handed ways.

Sansa Stark -- Shailene Woodley

Sansa Stark, The Queen of the North and leader of the Stark's. Portrayed by Sophie Turner, Sansa is an incredibly strong woman. Who better to takeover for Turner than Shailene Woodley? Not only does Woodley look like a Queen, but the California native has shown tremendous range throughout her career. She would be able to handle the tough times Sansa went through early on, and absolutely nail the moments of strength and intellect that Sansa consistently displays in the latter years.

Jaqen H'ghar -- Brad Pitt

Jaqen H'ghar remains one of the great mysteries of Game of Thrones. What were his motives, where did he go after helping Arya, did he even really exist? All questions we may never find answers to, but he remains an interesting character nonetheless. Although H'ghar plays a bit smaller of a role than Brad Pitt is accustomed to, we believe the Fight Club, Burn After Reading, 12 Years A Slave, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star would do great in the role of the deadliest assassin in Westeros.

Ned Stark -- Aaron Eckhart

We are not convinced that Sean Bean and Aaron Eckhart aren't related. And honestly, if Bean didn't have an accent would anyone doubt it if you were told they were brothers? In order for this to work, you can't think of Eckhart as Two-Face from The Dark Knight. Eckhart has a regal appearance and would be completely believable as the prideful patriarch of House Stark.

Stannis Baratheon -- Josh Brolin

A seasoned veteran on the battlefield, Stannis Baratheon is a stern leader who attempts to take the throne after his brother, Robert, is killed. Although he is lauded as a fierce war commander, Stannis lacks charisma and is an unpleasant man. Josh Brolin has no problem being the 'bad guy'. Brolin's skill in villainy is put on display as Thanos in the Avengers movies, as well as portraying the main antagonist in True Grit.

We still need to cast Leo, Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep...

Robb Stark -- Zac Efron

The Young Wolf met his demise during the tragic events of the Red Wedding. Ned Stark's eldest son emanated with potential as evidenced by his multiple wins as a war commander in battle at such a young age. A similarly talented youngster on the rise, Zac Efron seems to get better and better each times he’s on the screen. The former High School Musical star has proven to be an impressive performer in comedic (Baywatch, Neighbors) and more dramatic roles (The Greatest Showman, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile).

Qyburn -- Steve Buscemi

Qyburn isn't a great character. Some would argue that he is one of the worst, actually. So, how do we give more value to the role? By bringing in Steve Buscemi. The legendary actor would undoubtedly amp up the oddities needed to effectively play the part. Buscemi being tasked with reanimating The Mountain would be must-see television. Not to mention, his interactions with Cersei-Jolie would be wonderful.

Jon Snow -- Timothée Chalamet

We loved Kit Harington as Jon Snow. Before he started saying "she is my queen" every two seconds, Kit really started to come into his own as an actor. Taking the place of Mr. Harington in the Thrones re-do will be Timothée Chalamet. The young actor rose to fame due to his performances in Lady Bird and Call Me by Your Name -- which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Chalamet already has the Snow-like hair, now he must work on the beard.

Tommen Baratheon -- Miles Heizer

A young Tommen Baratheon is thrown into the role of King of the Seven Kingdoms after the events of the Purple Wedding. Although Tommen lacks a powerful leading presence, he is kind-hearted and cares deeply about others. Tommen's personality actually shares a lot in common with Miles Heizer's character in the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why. The 25-year-old Heizer may seem a bit old for the role, but his baby-face qualities make him a perfect fit to fill-in for a teen-aged Tommen.

Catelyn Stark -- Julia Roberts

Michelle Fairley's turn as Catelyn Stark was met with glowing reviews. Though the character didn't have an abundant amount of dialogue at times, Fairley did a good job conveying the strong Stark matriarch. Putting Julia Roberts into the shoes of Catelyn seems like a smooth transition. Imagining Roberts as Catelyn at the Red Wedding is giving us chills.

Tywin Lannister -- J.K. Simmons

It's difficult to imagine anybody besting Charles Dance's portrayal of Tywin Lannister, but J.K. Simmons might be the man for the job. Is there any doubt Simmons could play the cold, calculated, and battle-tested patriarch of the Lannister family? Simmons' rendition of a cantankerous and cruel band teacher in Whiplash should be more than enough proof he would be perfect for the role of Tywin.

Olenna Tyrell -- Meryl Streep

This one was an absolute no-brainer. Olenna Tyrell played the "game" as well as anybody. Margaery's cunning grandmother was outspoken and one of the most gifted political players in Thrones. Meryl Streep would do wonders with Olenna's character as she is highly intelligent and quick-witted.

Tyrion Lannister -- Peter Dinklage

Nobody could ever match Peter Dinklage's performance, nor should anyone be given the opportunity. This one is a slam dunk. Tyrion and Dinklage are one in the same. Next.

Robert Baratheon -- John Goodman

Robert Baratheon's run on Game of Thrones was short and sweet. The barrel-chested King met a quick demise, but his many actions prior to his death ultimately played a large role on the show. John Goodman is one of the finest actors in Hollywood today, and is only just starting to get the recognition he deserves through his work in 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Walder Frey -- Clint Eastwood

As long as Clint Eastwood is willing and able to act, he deserves a spot in the recast Game of Thrones. Playing the main curmudgeon himself, Walder Frey, Eastwood will be able to coast in and out of production. Frey wasn't a mainstay, meaning Eastwood could bide his time in-between shoots and conserve his energy. Giving Eastwood one last opportunity to play a bad guy would also be great to see. Though, we wouldn't complain if Frey became more of a main character if it meant enjoying Eastwood's immense talent a little more.

Yara Greyjoy -- Lena Dunham

Girls star Lena Dunham has taken the world by storm since the show she created and wrote began on HBO back in 2012. A staunch advocate for women's rights through her social media pages, Dunham would perfectly fit in the role of a strong female character such as Yara Grejoy. Yara is a proud and confident sea captain who has upended even the best of men in battle.

Renly Baratheon -- Adam Brody

Renly Baratheon was fit to be King, until his older brother turned on him. The young Baratheon was well-liked by his people thorough his charm and dashing good looks. Adam Brody came off as very likable in The O.C., and shares similar features to the Renly featured on the show.

Hodor -- John Cena

Like fellow WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena has broken through on the big screen and has continued to pick up bigger roles as his career progresses. Although most of his best work has come in the form of voice-overs, we believe Cena could handle the one-word vocabulary of Hodor in a live setting. One thing's for certain, the burly Cena wouldn't have to work out much to prepare for the role.

Jaime Lannister -- Leonardo DiCaprio

You knew that Leonardo DiCaprio had to appear at some point, right? Who better to play the famed Kingslayer than Leo? There is little doubt he would go through months worth of training to become the best swordsman possible. Hell, he may start having his friends and family call him Kingslayer. We've seen how committed Leo is to his craft, now imagine how great he'd be as Jaime with a few months to prepare.
